Serious Comedy

Day One: Update Three

Just got back from a very funny, yet quite sad comedy performance by Bennett Arron (link here). Bennett had his identity stolen 8 years ago and is still feeling the effects even now. Bennett tells a very funny story of his long journey ranging from tracking the ID thief to stealing the then home secretary (Charles Clarke’s) identity.

This does raise serious questions around the awareness of the public, police and private organisations, and thier abilty to help, claim compensation and generally know what proceedures to follow if a persons identity has been stolen.

Thankfully things are better than 8 years ago, but more still needs to be done to get the message home.

Thanks

Paul
