Child Benefit Records Lost
November 20, 2007
‘The chairman of the HM Revenue and Customs, Paul Gray, has resigned following news that the confidential details of 15 million child benefit recipients have been lost by staff. HM Revenue and Customs has lost computer discs containing the entire child benefit records including the personal details of 25 million people – covering 7.25m families overall. The two discs contain the names, addresses, dates of birth and bank account details of people who received child benefit. They also include National Insurance numbers. The exact details are currently being thrashed out in a commons debate (here) ‘
It is this type of major failure in the protection of personal data that reassures me that this collaborative venture is both timely and worthwhile.

Hi there! Do you know if they make any plugins to assist with Search Engine Optimization?
I’m trying to get my blog to rank for some targeted keywords but I’m not
seeing very good results. If you know of any please share.
Kudos!
